Exterior
painting.

A fresh face for the house, built to last.

Exterior Painting

Prepped right.
Finished clean.

Exterior paint is mostly prep and the right conditions, and that is exactly where most jobs go wrong. We wash the surface, scrape and sand the loose and failing paint, prime the bare spots and caulk the gaps and seams, handle the small repairs, then lay on a quality coat built to stand up to the North Carolina sun, heat and humidity. Siding, trim, front and garage doors, shutters and porch surfaces. Done right, the whole house reads fresh from the curb and the coat holds for years instead of chalking and peeling by the next season, with color matched precisely to the look you are after.

Exterior Painting FAQ

Straight answers.

What prep do you do before painting a house exterior?

We wash the surface, scrape and sand the loose and failing paint, prime the bare spots, caulk the gaps and seams, and handle the small repairs — then the coat goes on. Exterior paint is mostly prep, and that is where most jobs go wrong.

When is the best time of year to paint a house in North Carolina?

Mild, dry stretches — spring and fall are ideal, and summer works when the humidity and heat cooperate. We schedule around the weather so the coating cures properly.

Do you paint front doors, garage doors and shutters?

Yes. Siding, trim, front and garage doors, shutters and porch surfaces are all part of our exterior work.

Why does exterior paint peel and chalk after a year or two?

Almost always because of poor prep or painting in the wrong conditions. Washing, scraping, priming bare wood and caulking before a quality coat is why a finish holds for years instead of failing by the next season.

What areas does Carolina Superior Painting serve?

We are based in Clayton, NC and paint homes across Fuquay-Varina, Clayton, Garner, Willow Spring, Holly Springs, Angier, Smithfield, Selma, Knightdale, Wendell, Zebulon, Raleigh and Cary — Johnston County, southern Wake County and the Raleigh metro.
